Starting basic pay is the first step of each 7th Pay Commission level. Actual salary is higher because Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance are added. Eligibilityपात्रता
- Graduate posts (CEN 06/2026): a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
- Undergraduate posts (CEN 07/2026): 12th (10+2) pass or equivalent.
- Typist posts (Junior Accounts Assistant, Senior Clerk, Accounts Clerk and Junior Clerk cum Typist) also need typing on a computer, which is tested after CBT 2.
- Age: age will be counted as on 1 January 2027. In recent NTPC cycles the limit was 18–33 years for Graduate posts and 18–30 years for Undergraduate posts, with the usual relaxation for reserved categories. Check the final limits in the detailed CEN.
- ग्रेजुएट पद (CEN 06/2026): किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातक डिग्री।
- अंडरग्रेजुएट पद (CEN 07/2026): 12वीं (10+2) पास या समकक्ष।

Application feeआवेदन शुल्क
The fee is expected to be the same as in previous RRB notices:
- ₹500 for General, OBC and EWS candidates. ₹400 of this is refunded (minus bank charges) after you appear in CBT 1.
- ₹250 for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minority and EBC candidates. The full ₹250 is refunded (minus bank charges) after you appear in CBT 1.
The refund is paid only if you actually sit for CBT 1, so don't skip the exam once you apply.

Tips before you applyApply to only one RRB for each CEN — RRB rules reject multiple applications. Choose your post preferences carefully, because they are used when posts are allotted. Apply a few days before the last date; the portal slows down near the deadline.

Yes. The Undergraduate posts under CEN 07/2026 are for 12th (10+2) pass candidates. Graduates can also apply for these posts if they meet the age limit.
