Syllabus

The advertisement says the questions may relate to:

  • General Awareness and General Knowledge
  • Science
  • Indian History
  • Indian Polity
  • Social Sciences
  • Elementary Mathematics
  • Sports
  • Naga Culture and Heritage
  • Nagaland State and Naga Tribes
  • General Mental Aptitude

Two of these areas are about Nagaland itself. Questions on Naga culture, the tribes and their festivals, the districts and the state's history are easy marks for a prepared candidate and are rarely covered in national GK books.

How to prepare in 6 weeks

  1. Every day: 15 Nagaland GK questions (tribes, festivals, districts, history) and 10 maths questions. Nagaland topics are where you can beat candidates who study only national GK books.
  2. Weeks 1–2: Nagaland state facts, the Naga tribes and their festivals, and the history from the Naga Club (1918) to statehood (1963). Use our free practice sets below.
  3. Weeks 3–4: Indian history, polity and geography basics (Class 6–10 NCERT level), general science and sports.
  4. Weeks 5–6: elementary maths (percentages, ratio, average, simple interest, time and work) and mental aptitude (series, coding, directions, ranking).
  5. Every week: one full mock test in 2 hours, then read every solution. Keep training for the PET in parallel: the run alone carries 20 marks.

Practise in the real format

Our full-length mock tests follow the advertised pattern: 80 questions, 2 hours, English, with 20 questions on Nagaland in every test, an exam-style screen and a step-by-step solution for each question. The first test is completely free; the other seven cost ₹29 each, and you can try 5 questions free on each test page.

How to apply

  1. Between 31 October and 30 November 2026, open the Nagaland Police recruitment portal from police.nagaland.gov.in.
  2. Register, fill in the form and choose the one district you want to apply in.
  3. Upload the documents the form asks for and pay the ₹300 fee online.
